There’s more to becoming a successful entrepreneur than just developing a product you think people will want to buy. Of course that’s one of the most important aspects of private labeling, but you may have discovered that customers will always want more. Thanks to online sales and ecommerce, buyers have a desire to engage with the companies from which they purchase their goods and services. Gone are the days of picking a number out of the yellow pages or buying the only brand down at the local department store. Rather, private labeling entrepreneurs have to kick it up a notch to give the people what they want. What they want is content, which means you need to learn content marketing right away.
Blog it Up
One of the best ways to inform and engage your customers is to add a blog to your private label website. You can use your blog to develop your private label brand by giving helpful tips about what it is you’re selling, humorous anecdotes about how you started, who you are as a person as well as a company, and show consumers why they should pick you over your competition. The good thing about blogging is that it’s inexpensive, easy to use, and can improve the ranking you have with search engines like Google. This means your visibility as a company can explode across the internet just by adding a few keywords in with the information you post.
How-To Videos
Everyone loves to learn something new, and especially if it’s knowledge they can use more than once and could help improve their lives. Creating a how-to video has the ability to give your consumers another way to learn about your product and its uses, sometimes better than a blog can. People like visuals, and often retain the information better when it’s presented in video format over text.
Most people are all about instant gratification, so be sure to tell the viewers exactly what they’re going to get during the video before you start. Whether you’re doing a how-to video to inform customers how they can implement your products in day-to-day life or a comparison video against a competitor’s product, be sure to deliver on your initial statement in the video and give your viewers exactly what you said you would.
Call to Action
This is the best way to increase interaction with your customer base, and it can be implemented in several different ways. On your blog, you can add a question or poll to encourage customers to comment while asking viewers to subscribe to their channel for access to other informative videos. A call to action can also be placed at the end of a social media post which will not only encourage follower comments, but also interaction with other consumers. For platforms like Facebook, their friends will see when they comment on posts and bring even more eyes to your posts and then of course to your products.
